Cailleach Earrings

In Irish folklore, the Cailleach, or "Winter Hag", was a fearsome old woman who would steal unbaptized children and eat them; in Scotland she was known as the Cailleach-Dubh, "The Black Hag". This powerful symbol of the Crone has been used for centuries by Wise Women to ward off evil. This white version, known as Bride's Bower, is charged with white howlite, a gem closely associated with fertility.
